Each year the AFTR holds four luncheon meetings for its members. Each meeting is held at a local restaurant and a speaker of interest is invited to attend. Luncheons begin at 11:00 a.m. with a general meeting and speaker, and conclude with lunch. In the past five years, speakers have discussed such issues as Social Security, pensions, long-term health care (and insurance), financial planning for retirees, and identity theft. Speakers from the New Jersey Historical Society, Newark Museum, Liberty Hall Museum and Master Gardeners from Rutgers Extension have also spoken.  Each year we also have at least on musical program for your enjoyment.  Preceding each of the luncheons a newsletter is sent to all members with reservation forms for lunch as well as pertinent news.
